CO2 reduction by products

This video presents the amount of CO2 emissions reduced every day with Yaskawa’s energy-saving products and the size of the forest area (km2) required to capture the same amount of CO2.

Calculation method

*AC Drives: Calculates and converts the amount of energy saved into CO2 emissions when induction motors are driven by AC Drives

*High-efficiency motors: Calculates and converts the amount of energy saved into CO2 emissions when induction motors are replaced by high-efficiency motors.

*Photovoltaic, wind, and hydroelectric power generation products: Calculates the amount of CO2 emissions reduced based on the amount of energy generated when conventional power is replaced by carbon-free power.

*CO2 emission factor for calculation was changed from 0.58 kg-CO2 /kWh to 0.42 kg-CO2 /kWh.(April 2021)
