Compliance with competition law and prevention of bribery

“Yaskawa Group Code of Conduct,” which defines the basic standards to be observed by each company in the Yaskawa Group, and “Our Commitments,” which is a standard for all officers and employees of the Yaskawa Group to practice compliance based on the “Yaskawa Group Code of Conduct,” indicate codes of conduct, including compliance with competition law and prevention of bribery. Based on these codes of conduct, the Company formulates relevant rules and guidelines and conducts educational activities.

Efforts to Comply with Competition Law

In addition to establishing the “Competition Law Compliance Policy” applicable to officers and employees, we have formulated the “Anti-Cartel Guidelines” in light of the importance of efforts to prevent cartels in competition laws.
The “Competition Law Compliance Policy” also apply to major Yaskawa Group companies including overseas companies (hereinafter referred to as “subject group companies”). As for the “Anti-Cartel Guidelines,” different version for each subject group company has been developed based on the laws and regulations as well as cartel risks of the countries and regions in which the subject group companies conduct business.
Yaskawa Electric and its subject group companies are each conducting training on the prevention of cartels, a monitoring questionnaire to measure the presence of possible cartel risks and/or pre-screening for contact with other companies in the same industry.

Efforts to Prevent Bribery

In addition to establishing the “Anti-Bribery Policy” applicable to officers and employees, we have formulated the “Anti-Bribery Guidelines,” which specify important points and criteria for preventing bribery.
The “Anti-Bribery Policy” also apply to the subject group companies (i.e., major Yaskawa Group companies including overseas companies). With regard to the “Anti-Bribery Guidelines,” different version for each subject group company has been developed based on the laws and regulations as well as the risk of bribery of the countries and regions in which the subject group companies conduct business.
Yaskawa Electric and its subject group companies are each conducting awareness-raising activities aimed at preventing bribery based on the substance of the “Anti-Bribery Guidelines.”
