YASKAWA will start new business year with new President

YASKAWA Electric Corporation announces that the President and Chief Executive Officer Shin Nakayama will be appointed the Chairman of the Board and the Representative Director, and Executive Managing Director Koji Toshima will be appointed the President , effective March 21, 2004.
Current Chairman of the Board and the Representative Director Hiroshi Nagatsugi will be appointed the Director, effective March 21, 2004.
These decisions were made at the Board of Directors meeting held today.

Hiroshi Nagatsugi will finish the term of the Director at the end of the stockholders’ general meeting, which will be held around the middle of June. And he will then be appointed Corporate Adviser.
