Yaskawa to Acquire Additional Shares of Doolim-Yaskawa Co., Ltd. a Korean Robotic Painting and Sealing System Integrator

Yaskawa Electric Corporation (“Yaskawa Electric” Representative Director, President: Hiroshi Ogasawara) announces that on January 19, 2022, it acquired additional shares of Doolim-Yaskawa Co., Ltd. (“Doolim-Yaskawa” CEO: Park Sang-Beak), a Korean robotic painting and sealing system integrator through Yaskawa Electric Korea Corporation (“Yaskawa Korea” representative director: Albert Shiina), a consolidated subsidiary of Yaskawa Electric.

1. Reason for additional acquisition

In 2016, Yaskawa Korea acquired a share of Doolim Robotics, one of Korea’s leading manufacturers of painting and sealing robot systems. As a result of this acquisition, Yaskawa Electric and Yaskawa Korea have been working to establish a business in the robotic painting and sealing system market by leveraging synergies with Doolim-Yaskawa. We have achieved a certain level of results so far, and in anticipation of further achievements, we have acquired additional shares.
