News Release

Status of the Earthquake Impact on Production Activities

NewsApr 28, 2011

YASKAWA Group extends its sincere condolences to everyone affected by the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake in northern Japan, and we wish a quick recovery to all.
Below we report our production status, including response to earthquake effects on part procurements.

1. Current status of production
All of our domestic and overseas production facilities are in normal operation as we secured all the parts necessary for production for the moment from our inventory and the inventory of our suppliers. Our domestic factories are located in Kitakyushu and Saitama, which are more than 1200km and 200km away, respectively, from the affected areas, therefore there is no direct impact on our production.

2. Prospects for future production
We have been taking actions regarding the impact of the earthquake to part procurements, and due to the recovery of parts suppliers, and by securing alternative parts, we are ready to keep up stable production and supply.
(In the case of some older products, customers may be asked for a delivery date adjustment or the use of a newer product. For further information, please consult with our sales representative.)
