Assistance for Recovery Activities Following the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake
– YASKAWA forms recovery support teamfor damaged water treatment facilities in the Tohoku region –

 The YASKAWA Group extends its sincere condolences to everyone affected by the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake.

 

 The YASKAWA Group has started providing assistance for restoring the operations of the approximately 70 water treatment facilities of municipal governments that were damaged by the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake. These recovery activities are centered at YASKAWA’s Tohoku sales office, which is located in the city of Sendai. YASKAWA has sent about 10 engineers to the Tohoku sales office and a new business site that has been established in the city of Kitakami in Iwate prefecture.

 

 In the spirit of the slogan “fight back Tohoku, let’s fight back together,” YASKAWA is moving quickly to perform studies and recovery activities at damaged facilities and to help restore the social infrastructure in damaged areas rapidly.

 

 YASKAWA extends its sincere wishes for the recovery and reconstruction of damaged areas as soon as possible.
