YASKAWA Electric Corporation (Head Office: Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan; Representative Director and President: Masahiro Ogawa) has launched a new controller solution called “iCube Control” to realize the solution concept i³-Mechatronics, which combines automation solutions with digital data management. As part of this initiative, Yaskawa started selling the machine controller MPX 1310 for optimized equipment control on January 25, 2024. Yaskawa is pleased to announce that the model with MPX1310 option module and eight types of option modules were available on October 28, 2025. These products make it possible to meet a wide range of equipment requirements, such as building device systems through field network and extending system functions.

Since being released, MPX1310, which support the wide range of SLIO I/O modules, is well-received by customers. In recent years, customers have increasingly requested for further expansion of the lineup, such as expansion of control axes through function integration of equipment, connecting to peripheral devices, and I/O. In response, Yaskawa added the model with MPX1310 option module and eight types of option modules to the series lineup. These products enhanced functionality and enable the effective use of information by connecting with peripheral devices via various field networks. It contributes to the improvement of the customer’s equipment performance and added value.
Support for communications option modules allows for more peripheral devices to be connected in various kinds of field networks. This enables effective use of various information from the peripheral devices.
Depending on the system scale and the power environment, the most suitable option can be selected from the lineup that offers different numbers of option module and power supply types that can be mounted on the equipment.
The MPX1310 supports a wide range SLIO I/O that can be directly attached to the device to build a various system. Additionally, SLIO I/O can be distributed as remote I/O by using bus couplers for various types of networks, such as MECHATROLINK-4.
